    David,

I had lunch with Catherine Natasha Alexander we were talking about you and your writing.

After your post today, I am just wondering how you feel about Cressman? He was laughed at by many of his modern archaeology contemporaries. Cressman expressed a deep respect for the artifacts he uncovered “as a means for understanding however partial, the achievements, the experiences, the fears, the apprehensions, and the extraordinary courage of the men and women.” His findings did date back 14,000 years. I did not know him personally, perhaps you did and that influenced your opinions?

I hope to attend your talk on the Tualatins.
